Baroque Seville Walking Tour

Baroque Seville Walking Tour

The XVII Seville was characterised by the decay of the trade with America, the bubonic plague, poverty and mendicity. This situation leaded to a strong religiosity, motif of the great characteristic baroque Sevillian art. We invite you to find out the city of the XVII century, by crossing from one gate to another of the old city, and to discover the jewels of the baroque Sevillian art, the same as the strong religiosity that still today characterises Seville.

We will visit in privileged way the small temple of Santa María la Blanca, Salvador church and Magdalena church, which are exceptional enclaves of the baroque Sevillian art. These temples will surprise us with works by important artists such as Juan de Mesa or Martínez Montañés, as well as the brilliant Murillo. We will finish with some good gastronomical touches.
